Huaraz, Quilcayhuanca Trek
This is a trail that is becoming more popular with time, due to the beauty of these 2 valleys, surrounded by peaks of 6000 masl, and the spectacular lagoons such as Palcacocha and Cuchillacocha. It is also a great challenge to climb to the pass in Choco Peak (5000 m), where there is an inestimable reward: The views of Ranrapalca (6162 m) Palcaraju (6110 m) Tocllaraju (6034 m) and Ishinca (5530 m) Peaks. In Quilcayhuanca Valley you can enjoy a great view of Pucaranra (6156 m), Chinchey (6222 m) Tullparaju (5787 m) and Andavite (5518 m) peaks. With a bit of effort the first day, it’s possible to go inside the Cayesh Valley to observe the steep needle shaped peak: The Cayesh (5721 m).
